For Jimmy Ezzell, that belief started long before TripValet ever existed.

Jimmy always says "He was made in the Philippines but raised in America". He grew up in the St. Joseph, Missouri area after moving to the United States at just four years old. Growing up, money was tight. Family vacations weren't luxury resorts or international adventures. Some weekends meant collecting aluminum cans with his mother from local businesses just to save enough money for a trip to Worlds of Fun.

Those early experiences shaped how he viewed money, hard work, and travel itself.

Jimmy's parents worked tirelessly to provide for their family, and his mother had an incredible ability to stretch every dollar further than most people thought possible. That mindset stayed with him. It became part of the DNA behind TripValet years later: helping everyday people experience more while spending less.

The Start of TripValet.

In 2017, Jimmy had the opportunity to acquire an existing travel company and its underlying technology platform. He immediately recognized the potential.

The travel industry was massive, but most consumers were still paying public retail pricing through sites like Expedia, Priceline, and Hotels.com.

TripValet was created to offer something different: exclusive, members-only travel savings designed to help people travel better for less.

What started as a travel savings platform quickly gained traction. Friends and family members began using the memberships and sharing stories about the money they saved and the experiences they were finally able to enjoy.

Then the testimonials started rolling in.

Families taking trips they never thought they could afford. Couples finally booking the getaway they had been putting off for years. Members using the platform again and again because it simply worked.

That momentum laid the foundation for what TripValet would eventually become.

The Challenge That Changed Everything.

Then came 2020.

Like much of the travel industry, TripValet was hit hard during the global pandemic. Travel shut down almost overnight, and the company lost over 90% of its membership base.

It was one of the most difficult seasons in the company's history.

But instead of walking away, the team adapted.

TripValet became leaner, smarter, and more innovative. The challenges forced the company to rethink the future of the brand, improve the platform, strengthen its systems, and expand its vision far beyond traditional travel savings.

That season ultimately helped shape the company TripValet is today.
